Sacred Heart School
May 2012
Dear Parents,
The month of May gives us a wonderful opportunity to study the life of Jesus by praying the Rosary. Not only are we growing in the knowledge of Our Lord by meditating on the different mysteries of the Rosary, but we are asking Our Blessed Mother to accompany us through our daily life. Just as Mary experienced the cares and hardships of earthly life, the weariness of daily toil, the trials of poverty, and the sorrows of Calvary, we are confident that she will come to aid our needs and the needs of the world if we ask her. Here at school, the Rosary will be a part of our morning prayer.
May Our Blessed Mother lead us to her Son
Sincerely,
Sister Mary Carmel

As we display our athletic ability in the morning we will also enjoy our other gifts in the afternoon as our talent show will be at 1:00 pm.
Our Gratitude to all of our Families and Friends …
For the success of our Auction and especially to our auction committee, though small but mighty, they did a wonderful job in organizing the event and making sure that everyone had a good time.
As this is our main fund raiser of the year, just imagine what it would be like if we had 100% of our families participating!!!
To our School Board for their support and service to our school community, especially to Tony Legenstein, and Jim Devine who will be leaving the board after years of service. We are most grateful for their time and talent which they shared with us.
To our Home and School Association for all the extras. On Friday, April 27th, we honored one of our former students, Dennis Cook, who died in the tragedy of 9/11. His mother, relatives and friends were invited to the 8:30 a.m. Mass when a statue was dedicated to his memory. It was the Home and School Association who purchased a beautiful statue of the Sacred Heart which is now in our first floor school hall. Along with the dedication we had a small reception for his family and friends. Our gratitude to Lori Wagner, Beth Nadu, and Kim Devine, Sheila Hershey for their leadership and generosity.
Last but not least, Mother’s Day gives us the opportunity to congratulate and thank all of our Mothers on this special day and to tell you how much you are loved. May God’s blessings be always with you and your family! Happy Mother’s Day!
