May Newsletter

Dear Parents,

As we come to the end of our school year, the Catholic Church is commemorating the Centennial of the Fatima Apparitions. On May 13, 1917, Our Blessed Mother appeared to the three children, Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco, for the first of six times and instructed them to pray the Rosary for peace in the world and an end to war. Though the original message is a hundred years old, today, more than ever, we should heed this message and pray for peace.

In some families it is a practice to pray a family rosary. If you do not do this, I am sure that your child will be able to lead the family in prayer as here at Sacred Heart School, the students are familiar with the Rosary prayers and as the children of Fatima led the people to prayer so too, our children today can bring our intentions to Jesus through Mary.

May Mary, our Queen and Mother, lead us to her Son.

Sister Mary Carmel

Our prayers and best wishes are with Mary as she assumes new responsibilities. If anyone would be interested in helping us on the Advancement committee, in the capacity of Recruitment, PR, Fund-raising. Please call the school office. We need you!

To our School Board for their support and service to our school community, especially to Steve Bomberger and Staci Seifert who will be leaving the board after years of service. We are most grateful for the time and talent of our school board.
