What is SCRIP?
The Sacred Heart Home Grocery Network (SHHGN/Scrip) is a program offered by the school to assist parents in meeting their tuition responsibilities. The school purchases certificates at a discount from various merchants and then resells them at face value. 5%of the profit is deposited into a school account and 95% goes to the family who purchases the certificates in the form of a tuition credit.
For example:
If you normally spend $200 at Giant each month, simply buy $200 in Giant gift cards from Sacred Heart School. Giant gift cards are discounted at a rate of 5%. So, the profit on $200 is $10. The school would get $0.50 for accounting fees and $9.50 goes to your tuition credit.

How do I receive my tuition credit?
Every time you make a purchase, the SHS staff will keep a record of the amount of your purchase, and the profit earned. We’ll keep these records from March 1 through February 28 of the following year to calculate the credit amount due to each family. In September and April each family that has participated in the program will receive a credit voucher. You can apply this credit to your next tuition payment, or you can transfer your voucher back to the school’s Development fund or you can donate the credit to another family.
**Note:Families with students no longer at Sacred Heart, but now at Lancaster Catholic H.S. may also participate and their earnings will be 50% of the profit.
How do I purchase certificates if I decide NOT to purchase online?
Certificates are available every day, Monday through Friday, from 7:45a.m. to 2:15p.m. in the school office. Additionally, you may send an order into school with your child using the SHHGN envelope. Your child will hand the order in to his or her teacher, and the order will be filled and returned home with your child that afternoon.
Certificates are also available at weekly Masses: 5:00 p.m. Saturday, and 8:00 and 10:30 a. m. Sunday. Summer sales are available by contacting one of the following people:

How do I pay for certificates?
You can pay for your purchases by cash or check (payable to “SHHGN”).

What are Special Orders?
Special orders are for additional certificates that we do not keep on hand at the school for sale each day. You can place special orders on a weekly basis. Here’s how it works:
1. Fill out the Special Order form and send it, along with payment, into school by 10:00 Monday morning…OR place your order online ***(see shopwithscrip.com for details)***
2. The order will be placed that day and you will receive your certificates by no later than Friday afternoon of the same week.
Special Orders forms will be distributed at the beginning of the school year and then monthly thereafter. You will receive a new order form each time you place an order, or you can request a form from the school office.

Here are easy, step-by-step instructions on how to enroll your family with shopwithscrip.com and make all your special orders online. It takes 5 minutes to enroll and will streamline the special order process. No more sending pieces of paper to school with the kids. You can even pay online when you set up a PRESTO PAY account (debits from your checking account and charges a nominal fee of 39 cents).***Even if you order online, you can still pay by check at school.***

Market Day Program
Market Day sells delicious food which is delivered to our school. You pre-order your food from the catalog sent home with your child. Then, you will pick up your order to take home and enjoy.
Similar to SCRIP, 10% of your Market Day order will be counted as profit. 5% of that profit is deposited into the school account and 95% of that profit goes to the family who purchased the order in the form of tuition credit.
