IHM ENDOWMENT FUND
The IHM Endowment was created to celebrate the IHM Sisters’ 100 years of service and dedication to the Sacred Heart School. The Endowment was a surprise gift in their honor presented by a committee comprised of faculty, parents, alumni and Father Messner. The committee raised the funds for the initial endowment and then held a beautiful reception at which they presented the surprise to the IHM sisters. This endowment was created in 2010 and funds continue to be generated to secure the sustainability of the school’s existence.

In 2011 – 2012 Annual Campaign will be designated toward the IHM Endowment Fund.
HANDS
Each year, generous sponsors donate $500 to enhance the learning environment of a particular room. Those dollars are used by faculty to improve the student classroom in a manner which will directly benefit the students’ experience. If there is a subject matter (i.e. Music, Library, Physical Education) or grade level that is of particular interest to you, please consider becoming a HANDS sponsor. DIVIDENDS FOR TECHNOLOGY
The Dividends for Technology are funds raised with the express purpose of enhancing technology at SHS. This campaign started in 2010 and has been used for laptops for all the teachers and many of the classrooms. Through the Dividends for Technology Fund, the entire computer system was updated and integrated among all classrooms in 2011.
This is an ongoing campaign as we will continue to upgrade our technology every year.
To kick off this campaign, each SHS family received ten dollars along with a letter from Sister Mary Carmel asking each family to invest it creatively and return their proceeds to the school. Micro-business sprung up all over town as tye-dye t-shirts were created, bake sales were held and lemonade stands were erected. Over 70 percent of families participated and the funds raised in the first year were sufficient to cover the expenses of the first phase of the technology upgrade.

New for 2011-2012 our Coins for Computers. Each family was given a bucket to take home at back to school night. We are encouraging friends and family to fill the buckts with spare change and then return the buckets to school to the big bucket in our first floor hallway. The coins will be counted and funds added to our dividends fund . What a great way for that spare change to really add up for SHS.
GUARDIAN ANGEL FUND
This small fund exists to help SHS families who are financially struggling with meeting their tuition obligation. If you’d like to assist SHS families in need, contact Sheila Hershey directly at 509-3577.
